As a private, non-profit organization, the Nokomis Center relies on your support to carry out our important mission of promoting an understanding of the rich culture of the Anishinaabeg People to the community at large.

As we plan for the 20th Anniversary of the Nokomis Learning Center, we want to celebrate our past by maintaining and improving our programs for the future.  You can help make that possible.  The Nokomis Learning Center is a part of the Greater Lansing Community that increases diversity awareness and education.  Please consider making a donation to help us continue providing quality programs for our visiting school groups and our larger community.

We are asking you to help us raise $50,000 in the year 2008.  While this may sound like a lot, if we get just 400 donations of $125 we will meet that goal!  Thank you for showing your support and commitment to our center.

You are invited to become a member

Become a friend of the Nokomis Learning Center and discover the exciting culture of the Native American peoples who have lived in the Great Lakes region for thousands of years!

Your membership will help support the Center's mission and better serve the thousands of school children who visit our facility annually.  Each year schools, scouting groups and individual visitors enjoy a "hands-on" learning experience with knowledgeable members of our staff and volunteers.

Since its founding in 1988, Nokomis has hosted numerous exhibitions and educational programs, published several books, and been a model for many other institutions around the nation.  We invite you to become a part of our efforts to promote Michigan’s rich Native American heritage.
