As a part of our mission, we host a variety of family-friendly events such as language classes, craft nights, drum night socials, and a current lecture series entitled “Minobimaadiziwin (Good Life): Exhibits/Classroom As well, we host both permanent and traveling exhibits: In our classroom, we have a permanent exhibit on Michigan Indian Sovereignty, Rights, and Treaties, as well as many historical objects—beadwork, pottery, musical instruments, and basketry for example—and teaching tools such as maps, language learning tools, and tactile objects for elementary-level education.Upcoming events. Well known and highly respected language instructor George Roy. First-language fluent teacher and talented storyteller is the Lead Teacher for the classes.
